Wagonhound Outfitters offers elite, trophy outfitted hunts for elk, whitetail and mule deer, antelope, bear, and waterfowl in the heart of the Laramie Mountain range.   We are best known for being home to some of the best elk hunting in North America.  The Wagonhound consists of over 150,000 private acres of prime habitat that is home to a wide variety of wildlife.  While on a hunt with us you will be with an experienced professional guide who will work to make your hunt one that will not be surpassed by any other.  Our guides have led hunters to numerous Wyoming Outfitters and Guides Association awards over the last decade.

One of the most exhilarating experiences as a hunter is one of our September archery elk hunts.  This has become a sought after hunt for many television hunting celebrities.  Come enjoy the fall colors and the beauty of the ranch while experiencing one of the most spectacular sights in nature, the Rocky Mountain Elk rut.

The breeding season for elk usually carries into the opening trophy rifle season which starts the middle of October and continues through the third week of November.  The ranch offers comfortable secluded lodging which ranges from Luxury guest homes to our early season wall tent camp.  We are willing and able to cater to a variety of tastes and needs with our diverse accommodations and breadth of facilities.

Our management and late season cow hunts are a great way to see the ranch and our operation before you invest the time and money in one of our trophy hunts.  Our management bull elk hunts are 4 days and we have taken some very nice management bulls from the ranch in the past few years, including some 5 point and 5×6 point bulls scoring over 300 inches.  The Management Deer hunts are three days and provide opportunity for one Whitetail or Mule Deer buck that we consider a management trophy.  Meals for these hunts are provided while staying in our comfortable bunk houses or you have the option of upgrading to one of our guest houses.  Our cow hunts are done in December and January and are three day hunts in which you stay in one of our luxury guest houses.  These houses include all the amenities and offer a perfect setting for you to relax after a day in the field and prepare a nice meal.

The ranch is also home to some of the regions best fishing and waterfowl hunting. We can build custom packages for fishing or waterfowl hunting or you may enjoy either activity while here on a big game hunt.
